Brownstown Central eked out a junior varsity football win at North Harrison on Monday, defeating the Cougars 19-16.
Kyle Jensen scored twice for the Braves, Justin Donnells had one touchdown, and Skyller Lewis had a PAT. Defensively, Filippo Lippi-Hutcheson intercepted a Cougars pass.
The coaches named Jensen the offensive most valuable player, Lippi the defensive MVP and Ian Anderson the special teams MVP.
The Braves improved to 5-0 and Monday will play at Seymour.
Also, the varsity football coaches announced the players of the game from Friday’s 42-6 win at home against North Harrison.
The awards went to Clay Brown,
offensive back MVP; Jordan Ellis, offensive line MVP; Kelin Fritz, defensive line/inside linebacker MVP; Jacob Jackson, defensive back/dime MVP; Nick Stahl, special teams MVP; and Tanner Bell, scout team MVP.
