Brownstown Central’s girls basketball team put up 28 points in the first quarter of Thursday’s road game and went on to defeat Mid-Southern Conference foe North Harrison 72-66.
The Braves led 54-40 going into the final quarter, and the Cats outscored Brownstown 26-18 in the fourth. But it wasn’t enough to hand the Braves their first MSC loss, as they improved to 7-0.
Brooke Ebbing scored a season-high 32 points to lead Brownstown (15-1). She also had a team-high 12 rebounds. Also for the Braves, Kasandra Rieckers scored 16 points.
North Harrison was led by Kendra Lambert’s 29 points.
