Braves beat Owls in JV, freshman football



Brownstown Central swept the junior varsity and freshman football games Monday night against county rival Seymour.

The Braves JV team improved to 6-0 with a 41-6 victory. Kyle Jensen and Caleb Wischmeier had two touchdowns apiece for Brownstown, while Blake Baughman and Filippo Lippi-Hutcheson each had one, and Skyller Lewis connected on five PATs. Defensively, Jensen had two interceptions, and Terry Anderson had one.

The coaches named Jensen the offensive most valuable player, Garrett McAdams the defensive MVP, and Lewis the special teams MVP.

For Seymour’s JV squad, which dropped to 0-6, the lone score was on a pass from Corban Ruch to Zach Schlatterer. Tristan Sitterding had an interception.
