Braves girls recognized for efforts

Thinking back on Trinity Booher as an eighth-grader, Brownstown Central High School girls basketball coach Karla Rieckers said she saw “an exceptionally gifted athlete.”

Through the first couple of years on the high school team, Rieckers kept trying to push Booher to reach her potential.

Following a scrimmage before Booher’s junior season, Rieckers talked to Booher’s father. From the next practice on, Rieckers saw a different person in practices and games.
