Throughout the girls golf season, Brownstown Central coach Jennifer Chastain said she told her team, “You get out of it what you put into it.”

Junior Jordan Stevens apparently listened to her coach. This fall, she was match medalist four times; shot a career-best 89 and earned all-Mid-Southern Conference; and had the team’s best nine- and 18-hole averages with 46 and 93.8, respectively.

On Monday night during the team’s awards program at Hickory Hills Golf Club, Chastain presented Stevens with the most valuable golfer plaque.

“Our most valuable golfer had the best nine-hole average on the team, best 18-hole average on the team, earned fourth place individually at the MSC Tournament and made the all-conference team,” Chastain said.
