The Brownstown Central softball team recorded its second Mid-Southern Conference shutout on Tuesday night, winning 6-0 at Clarksville to improve to 2-1 in league play.
After scoring one run in the top of the fourth, the Braves added three in the fifth and two in the seventh.
Brownstown outhit Clarksville 8-3 and didn’t commit an error. Chelsea Scott had a home run, a double and a single, while Hallie Wessel had two singles, and Kati Brown had a double and a single. Also, Maeleigh Tidd had a triple, and Scott had a team-high four RBIs.
Kourtney Branaman won on the mound, striking out seven to move to 11-3.
