Braves teams extend winning streaks to 6



For the second time in three games, the Brownstown Central baseball team recorded a shutout, defeating Eastern (Pekin) 4-0 on Monday and improving to 2-1 in the Mid-Southern Conference and 7-3 overall.

Jay Wehmiller and Mitchell Grider had back-to-back doubles to score a run in the first inning, and the Braves added one run in the fifth and two in the seventh.

Brownstown senior pitcher J.T. Post threw a complete game, allowing two hits, striking out four and not walking any.
