Braves to play at Lucas Oil Stadium

A recent check of their Twitter accounts brought about excitement among the Brownstown Central High School football players.

Athletics director Mark DeHart shared the good news with football head coach Reed May, that the Braves are going to be a part of the Lucas Oil Stadium Showcase on Aug. 30 at the home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts and site of the IHSAA state finals.

That day, after Winamac opens against Pioneer at noon, Brownstown will play Mid-Southern Conference rival Charlestown at 2:40 p.m. The teams for the third game at 5:20 have yet be determined, while Plainfield and Danville will play at 8 p.m.
