The Brownstown Central boys basketball team may not have started Friday’s Class 3A Sectional 30 semifinal game the way it expected.
But boy did the Braves finish strong.
After only leading 28-20 at halftime, the Class 3A No. 7 Braves forced Charlestown into eight turnovers and outscored the Pirates 23-8 in the third quarter on their way to a 77-41 victory.
The Pirates committed half of their 28 turnovers in the second half and were outscored 49-21. The Braves only had six turnovers for the night.
