Braves win at Hickory Hills

Zach Spicer, The Tribune/ Brownstown Central freshman Breonna Bottorff hits from the fifth fairway during Monday's home match against Salem at Hickory Hills Golf Club.

Playing at Hickory Hills Golf Club in Brownstown can be tricky for some high school golf teams.

On Sept. 3, Salem played host to Brownstown Central at Western Hills Golf Course and won by 20 strokes.

But on Monday, the teams met at Hickory Hills, and Brownstown won 196-211, improving the Braves’ nine-hole season record to 8-3. That includes 3-1 at home.
