BROWNSTOWN

Pierce McCammon and Colin Sons had a friendly bet going before the start of the annual 4-H cat show Saturday morning at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.

In his fourth year of entering the event, Colin, 12, of Dudleytown, thought his experience with his cat Spike would impress the judges enough to be named grand champion.

But Pierce, 12, of Seymour, was confident his cat, Prim, could win, even if it was just their first year in the show.
