A Seymour man with deep roots in serving youth and developing future leaders now finds himself in a new leadership role.
Jackson County Education Coalition recently appointed Dan Hodge, 41, as its first executive director.
“I think the hope for Dan is to build a really effective bridge between industry and education,” said Bud Walther of Community Foundation of Jackson County. “When you hear us talk about education, we have to think beyond the schools. It’s much broader than that. It includes area industry, and we’ll be focusing initiatives at the pre-K level and address barriers that keep people from finishing college and everything in between.”
