Bridge work: Motorists need alternate routes, to expect delays

Motorists using a bridge that carries Redding Road over the East Fork White River will have to find an alternative route in early May.

A $2,623,550 project to replace that bridge — north of Seymour — is tentatively set to begin May 5.

Gohmann Construction Inc. received the contract for the project, which will be funded with 80 percent federal money and a 20 percent local match, in August. The engineer’s estimate for the project was $2.25 million.
