CRAWFORDSVILLE

At 5:30 p.m. Friday, Zack Brown found out he was going to be the South team’s starting pitcher in Saturday’s first game of the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association North-South All-Star Weekend at Wabash College.

“I just knew I had to get to bed early,” said Brown, a 2013 graduate of Seymour High School. “I was just trying to hang out with all of the guys but also get some rest, try to manage my time wisely.”

After player introductions Saturday, Brown went directly to the bullpen to warm up. The South batted first, so that gave him some extra time.
