Arv Koontz, For The Tribune/ Brownstown Central junior Kasandra Rieckers, right, keeps the ball away from Edgewood's Marielle Delos Santos during Saturday's championship game of the Toby Yoho Classic.
After losing to Seymour earlier this month, the Brownstown Central girls basketball team made it a goal to win the remainder of its games in the 2013 portion of the season.
The Braves achieved that goal by topping Paoli 47-40 on Saturday in the semifinals of the Toby Yoho Classic at Eastern Greene High School and then rolling past Edgewood 56-40 in the championship game.
Brownstown finished the first half of the season with a record of 10-1. The Braves’ other tournament title came in 2011. Last year’s tournament was canceled because of the weather.
