SALEM

Brownstown Central scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter for a 31-7 lead and kicked the ball off to Salem.

The Lions could not come up with the ball, and the Braves recovered it at the 13-yard line.

But with storms approaching Washington County, a meeting was held between the two head coaches and other officials.

After a few minutes, the decision was made to call the game with 9:59 remaining in the fourth quarter, and Brownstown recorded the 31-7 Mid-Southern Conference win over Salem on Friday night.
