Brownstown Central’s boys basketball team led 23-5 after one quarter and 40-11 at halftime in Friday’s 74-43 win at West Washington.
Braves coach Dave Benter said his team got off to a good start in the first quarter by applying pressure defense and forcing turnovers. The Senators finished the game with 26 turnovers to Brownstown’s 12.
Chaz Schneider scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Braves (7-1), while Cam Shoemaker and Jacoby Shade had 12 apiece.
