Brownstown Central student earns full-tuition scholarship

A Jackson County student has been selected as the recipient of a full-tuition, four-year scholarship as the Community Foundation of Jackson County’s 2014 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar.

Robert Levi Bays III was selected from a group of applicants from all five high schools in Jackson County and will receive full tuition to the Indiana college of his choice and a $900 yearly stipend for required books and equipment, the Community Foundation reported.

Bays, the son of Robert and Virginia Bays, is a senior at Brownstown Central High School, and he plans to attend Purdue University and major in agricultural engineering.
