Brownstown Central sweeps county meet

For the Brownstown Central track and field teams, Thursday was the season-opener since Tuesday’s meet was canceled because of the weather.

For the other two Jackson County teams, Crothersville and Medora, they were competing for the second straight night.

Brownstown won both meets, with the boys scoring 136 points and the girls 99. Crothersville’s girls scored 52 points for second place, but the Tigers only had one runner in the boys meet and scored two points. Medora tallied 21 points in the boys meet for second place, and the girls were third with six points.
