BROWNSTOWN
Through 20-plus games in the summer of 2012, the Brownstown Central High
School junior varsity basketball team went undefeated.
That left coach Marty Young with high expectations for the winter season.
“A lot of the same guys played for me in the summer,” Young said. “We had high goals coming into the season because of that. But you never know how things can change from the summer to winter.”
Well, things didn’t change, and the Braves finished 20-0, making them the first BCHS boys JV basketball team to go undefeated. The girls JV team also made history this winter by going 18-0.
