Size and athleticism helped Paoli maintain a lead against host Brownstown Central for the first 14 minutes of Saturday night’s boys basketball game.
But Brownstown’s 7-0 run in a span of 50 seconds late in the second quarter gave the Braves their first lead, and they took that energy into the second half and won 71-46.
The Braves were 0 of 5 from the field while giving up the first seven points of the game. Chaz Schneider’s 3-pointer tied the score at 9 at 3:26, but Paoli was on top 17-14 through one quarter.
