The Brownstown Central and Trinity Lutheran boys tennis teams met up in Brownstown on Tuesday night, and the home-standing Braves claimed a 5-0 win.
The win was not easy for the Braves, as the Cougars played well in all five matches, and that gave Trinity coach Gary Welker a reason to be positive.
“We played some great tennis,” Welker said. “We were in every match I watched, and tennis is a game where things could go your way, and sometimes it doesn’t. We also compete well over here, and they always field a good team. It’s fun coming over here, and it’s always nice to get a win, but the boys played great in every position.”
