On Tuesday night, the Brownstown Central girls track and field team set personal records and broke one school record during the Mid-Southern Conference meet at Sellersburg.
That, however, wasn’t enough to win, as the Braves placed third with 100 points. Corydon Central won with 112 points, and Silver Creek was second out of 10 teams with 106.
“We had a pretty good meet,” Braves coach Maria Weigel said. “Olivia Goecker broke the record in the 300 hurdles, so I can’t complain about that. Miranda Stuckwisch in discus had an all-time PR, and Regan Harrison had a season PR in shot put, and Kari Brown broke six minutes in the mile.”
