With the way the first quarter ended for Hauser and Brownstown Central’s girls basketball teams, it looked like whoever could create a gap would win.
Brownstown took advantage of that, going on a 19-2 run in the second quarter to create a comfortable lead for the rest of the game, beating the host Jets 56-41.
“I was real happy for our big run we had in the second,” Braves coach Karla Rieckers said. “I thought we came out and played hard and attacked the paint.”
