Brownstown schools get $31,650 safety grant

Brownstown Central Community School Corp. recently received $31,650 to help pay for the cost of a school resource officer and equipment.

The grant is part of $9 million in funding — through the Secured School Safety Grant Program — announced June 4 by Gov. Mike Pence.

More than 250 Hoosier schools and school corporations received grants, approved by the Indiana Secured School Safety Board.
