Brownstown to face Charlestown in sectional final

Brownstown Central had to put on its rally caps on Wednesday for the second straight night in the Class 3A Sectional 30 at Salem.

Corydon Central scored two runs on two hits in the top of the third, but Brownstown responded with three runs on four hits and an error in the bottom half. Neither team scored until the top of the seventh when Corydon scored once on two hits.

The game went into extra innings, and the Panthers hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth, but Brownstown managed two runs in the bottom half for the 5-4 win.
