Business seeks zoning change from county

A local agribusiness wants permission from the county to build an equipment shed north of Cortland.

The county plan commission earlier granted a favorable recommendation on the request from Jackson-Jennings Co-op to build the shed, which will measure 80-by-150-foot.

The Seymour-based business operates a 20-acre site at 6905 N. 400 East. The business is home to one of the cooperative’s crops division offices.
