Cab ride ends with man’s arrest

A Seymour man’s night out on the town ended with a trip to jail after his decision to rob a taxi driver at knifepoint early Friday morning near Uniontown, police report.

Christopher M. Clayton, 25, of the 600 block of South Broadway Street, faces a Class C felony charge of robbery and a Class D felony charge of intimidation after the incident, reported by the cabdriver at 2:55 a.m. Friday.

County Officer Jeff Walters said Clayton told officers after his arrest at his home in Seymour that he had been in Louisville visiting nightclubs with a friend who had left him behind.
