Trinity Lutheran High School student government will conduct Cancer Awareness Night festivities during Friday's home junior varsity and varsity boys basketball games against Crothersville.
The JV game starts at 6 p.m., and varsity will follow at 7:30 p.m.
Students and parents at Trinity have purchased cancer awareness T-shirts, with profits going to cancer research. They were offered in these colors: Purple, all cancer; pink, breast cancer; orange, leukemia; light blue, prostate cancer; and lime green, lymphoma.
The Trinity football team will host a taco salad dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.
Also, there will be a bake sale during the game, with all money going to cancer research; tickets will be sold for a shootout at halftime; and Immanuel Lutheran School boys basketball players and cheerleaders in fifth through eighth grades will be recognized.
Donations will be accepted this week at the school office and also at the game.
