Candidates clamor to represent 9th District

Last-day filings left Indiana 9th District Rep. Todd Young facing a challenge from three fellow Republicans in the May 6 primary.

The field is matched by four Democrats competing for the nomination to run in the general election for the seat Young was first elected to in 2010.

Other Republican candidates are Trent Feuerbach of Bloomington, who filed with “TeaParty” as part of his name, Kathy Lowe Heil of Elizabeth and Mark G. Jones of Indianapolis.
