More than 15 people were fishing Saturday afternoon on Stanfield Lake. Despite warm-air temperatures fishers reported ice depths ranging between 6 and 10 inches depending on the location. The park does recommend that ice fishers do not fish on ice of less than 4 inches thick, and always ice fish with other people to prevent accidents. The park also warns that ice fishers fish at their own risk, as the park has not checked ice thickness in more than 5 years.
