On Sunday, the Indiana Fever captured their first WNBA title in the team’s 13-year existence, defeating last year’s champions, the Minnesota Lynx, 87-78.
My brother and I went to the Indianapolis Colts game in the afternoon and saw them beat the Cleveland Browns 17-13, and we thought it only made sense to stick around Indianapolis and catch the Fever game that night, hoping they would claim Game 4 and celebrate the title.
I remember a couple of years ago doing the same thing, going from a Colts game to a Fever playoffs game all in one day. That year, though, they didn’t win the title. This time, they did, and it was neat to be a part of it.
