Celebrate arts at 2nd run of festival in Brownstown

If you’re looking for a way to enjoy local art and history, look no further than the Brownstown Ewing Artsfest taking place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

A full schedule of events and entertainment is planned for the second year of Jackson County’s newest festival, said Wilma Wessel, event chairwoman.

The Artsfest takes place in Brownstown and Ewing, and local artisans will be set up around the courthouse, the Jackson County History Center, W.R. Ewing and at area businesses making and selling arts and crafts, painting, demonstrating pottery and more. A special area will be available on the courthouse lawn for children to participate in arts and craft projects, too.
