God, I know you exist, at least I hope you exist, because if you don’t there is no reason for me to pray to you, and there is nothing that will ever get better because I’ve learned one thing: Nothing ever gets better and, if it does, it won’t be for very long.
Some people think life gets better and better, but that can’t be true if we all end up dying in the end anyway. So, God, I am going to believe, if for no other reason than it makes me feel better, that you can hear me right now.
God, I heard or read it somewhere in the Bible that you reward those who seek you. I guess that is why there are still a lot of people who go to church on Sunday: They are seeking you because they believe you will reward them.
