Church guild stages button-themed party

Immanuel Guild’s spring party was May 6 in the fellowship hall of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

Connie Roeder had the invocation. The group sang “Praise God from Whom all Blessings Flow,” and a pitch-in dinner followed.

The theme for the evening was “Buttons.” Tables were decorated with navy blue gingham place mats decorated with buttons. A bookmark was attached to the button with a Bible verse. Pink geraniums in clay pots decorated with buttons were placed on each table, and small clay flower pots filled with colorful buttons were at each place setting and were given as a favor along with the bookmark.
