Immanuel Lutheran Women’s Missionary League met Oct. 8 in the church fellowship hall.
Matt Nieman, director of Youth Ministry of Immanuel, presented a program on communications — observing how people communicate with each other. He said 75 percent of communications is done nonverbally. He led the group in an exercise demonstrating how people communicate without using their hands, eyes or voice.
President Jan Behrens opened the business meeting. The secretary and treasurer reports were read and approved. Behrens said the September project to purchase goats for families in Third-World countries was successful. Eight goats will be purchased through Lutheran World Relief.
