In last week’s first round of the inaugural Seymour City Tournament, Craig Rice had a rocky start in rainy conditions at Seymour Country Club, but he managed to come through as the leader in the men’s division with 72.

In the final round, conducted Sunday on a hot, clear day at Shadowood Golf Course, Rice had a good start and stayed solid all the way through, finishing with 74 for a final score of 146.

He was able to hold onto first place, finishing four strokes under second-place Jonathon Olson.
