City seeks Bicycle Friendly status

A little investment from the city could make Seymour a Bicycle Friendly community quickly.

That’s the word from local cycling enthusiast Matt Nicholson, owner of B2 Bikes and Boards in Seymour and a founder of the Jackson County Bicycle Club.

Nicholson recently provided an update to the Seymour Board of Works on progress for the Bicycle Friendly Seymour project.

“We’re close to being a bronze level now,” he said.

Bronze is the lowest level of recognition from the League of American Bicyclists with platinum being the highest.
