Southbound lanes of Interstate 65 were closed from Seymour to Uniontown for more than three hours early Friday morning to allow crews to retrieve a steel coil that fell off a flatbed trailer.

The coil came off a southbound semitrailer that left the road for unknown reasons at 5:10 p.m. Thursday in the construction zone just south of the Seymour exit, Sgt. Noel Houze said.

Houze, public information officer with the Indiana State Police at Versailles, said the wreck was not serious and the name of the driver, his age and his address were not available Friday. The driver was not injured.
