The Medora girls basketball team’s offense turned as cold as the weather outside the Hornets’ gymnasium during Saturday night’s game against Lighthouse Christian.

The Hornets were within 33-23 at halftime, but they only scored nine points and shot 12.5 percent (3 for 24) from the field in the second half and lost 67-32.

“We just had too many mental mistakes,” Hornets first-year coach Greg Barnett said. “We have a lot of inexperience this year. We have four players that have never really played a lot, and they had a hard-fought game
