Columbus band set to perform in Brownstown

The Columbus City Band will perform a concert in Brownstown on the Jackson County Courthouse lawn at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The summer event has become a yearly tradition, sponsored by the Brownstown Fund for the Arts. Admission is free to all. Patrons are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

The band will play several selections in honor of the nation’s birthday, including “Duty, Honor, Country” and a variety of marches including “Stars and Stripes Forever.”
