Column: Are you prepared to handle a disaster?



This month, Jackson County United Way community partners came together to work through a disaster scenario training provided by the American Red Cross.

We were challenged to think through situations and what would happen if our organizations and families were directly affected by a disaster. It was a great reminder to all of us that we need our organizations to be prepared when a disaster occurs.

Preparing your business should include taking as much responsibility for your employees and their families safety as you do for the bottom line.
