Column: County dog pound will not solve overpopulation issue

In reference to the story in Saturday’s edition of The Tribune, “County considers shelter,” this is one of the most disturbing things I have read in a long time.

I think it is time to raise awareness on the pet overpopulation in our county. The article is basically talking about a dog pound where dogs will not be cared for like they are now at our current shelter operated by Humane Society of Jackson County.

A dog pound is a thing of the past. Are we going to regress, or are we for progress?
