Column: County’s Habitat for Humanity always seeking partner families

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, and, yes, there is a Habitat for Humanity for Jackson County.

That is probably where the similarities end.

Santa seems to have been around forever, and Habitat is celebrating its 21st anniversary in Jackson County. Santa comes one night a year to bring toys for good little boys and girls. Habitat works alongside low-income families and the disabled for years to provide decent, adequate housing.
