Column: Leave your nets, desire Jesus’ will over own in all aspects



Last week, we looked at the initial stages that Peter went through as he became a follower of Jesus Christ. His experience will parallel our experience in so many ways.

Peter began by gathering information.

He listened as Jesus spoke (see Luke 5). Next, he was willing to inconvenience himself by loaning Jesus his boat. Then, he did something he had done a thousand times before, but he did it in a way he had never done it, all because of Jesus’ request that Peter take him fishing.
