Column: Longevity, economy stir natural evolution of workforce dynamics



There seems to be a new dynamic going on relative to the natural evolution in the workforce.

Life expectancy has increased even in the last generation. Technology, medical procedures, medicines and more understanding of the direct connection between diet and exercise on longevity has us not only living longer but having a better quality of life doing so.

The most recent recession really ate away a huge percentage of many people’s savings and investments planned for retirement and have caused many to have to work past a previously planned retirement age.

Each May, universities and colleges continue to graduate a new generation of adults looking for positions to use their education.
