Column: Modern technology comes with heavy social costs

At a recent statewide meeting of chamber executives, I made an observation from the products and services offered by the various vendors that had information booths.

There is a term for those of us who are technologically challenged. It is technosaur.

After Apollo 11 landed on the moon, I asked my father, who was then 61 and had flown B-25s during World War II, if he ever thought he would see anything like that. His reply was, “Oh my no. That was pure science fiction when I was growing up.”
