Column: Once you know truth, act on it despite how hard that can be

James teaches us that knowing the truth is not enough. We must be willing to apply what we know.

The value of truth is not in belief or knowledge, it is in application.

James says it like this: “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” (James 1:22) Jesus said, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24)
