Column: Rely on God’s faith in future

God’s faithfulness in the past can certainly help shape and enhance our perspective about the future.

This was the principle behind the many altars and memorials that were erected in the Old Testament.

Many of the Jewish feasts and festivals were established to commemorate all that God had done in the lives of his people. The Jewish Passover, for example, was to remind the people, their children and their children’s children of God’s faithfulness. God miraculously delivered the Hebrews from Egyptian captivity. This was a story they should never forget. It is good to remember.
