Column: Sunday alcohol ban saves lives

I disagree with the recent editorial distributed by the Hoosier State Press Association titled “State Needs To End Ban For Sunday Alcohol Sales.” Unfortunately, the editorial from the Kokomo Tribune sounds more like an ad for Joe’s Alcohol and Wine Store than an informative article exploring the facts regarding alcohol sales and consumption.

First of all, hurray for the grand state of Indiana and its lawmakers who have stood against the tide of corruption captivating the statehouses of all other states regarding Sunday alcohol sales. Indiana has continued to maintain some type of control over Sunday sales that, at the least, sends a message to the citizens of our state that alcohol consumption comes with certain consequences.
